To put it simply I am against any and all forms of mind control, especially the ones that turn people against each other simply to keep somebody with a high-ranking position in power. I do believe that there very well could be a god-like entity out there, my doubts have more to do with what we actually know about it.

Believing the dummy to actually be a real person leaving need not necessarily be a matter of intelligence. They could just be batguano insane. what do you really expect from people who raise their children to believe they’re going to be punished by an angry God for celebrating their birthdays? Many of these people actually lie to her children about how old they are or refuse to seek medical attention for their children when they’re sick because they believe doctors are trying to play God.

I find it hard to have a high opinion of an institution that for millennia has brainwashed people to hate others and treat them like scapegoats solely because they are different. beliefs like that have no place in modern day. I don’t hate religious people just the sects that run around causing trouble and forcing their views on everyone else. All people no matter what their beliefs were would just mind their own business, I’d be a happy guy. Unfortunately two out of the three big abrahamic religions seem insist on believing that it’s very mission in life to annoy everybody else with threats of a fate worse than death. If I seem to have a low opinion of religion is because I dropped out of Sunday School shortly before I began high School. You want know what caused me to drop out of Sunday School? Being told that I was going to go to hell for all of forever and ever simply because I put more stock in the theory of evolution by natural selection then I did the judeo-christian creation myth. And throughout high School, history class covered events throughout the history where you can see religion at its worst. Study history and you’ll find that the most horrifying atrocities committed by mankind were perpetrated by people who had entirely too much religion in their lives not the other way around. like the Salem witch trials you can’t possibly believe those people didn’t have a bad case of religious overdose. Jehovah’s witnesses just having to be another example religious group that engages in overaggressive proselytization. If it was up to me, I just wouldn’t answer the door when they show up unfortunately Amazon started using freelance drivers for order deliveries so now I never know when a vehicle pulling up my driveway might actually be something important or is going to be right-wing Christian lunatics coming by to waste my time.

Assuming you’re not joking then your view of religion is so negative that you drastically underestimate the intelligence of religious people, which is ironic since people like you usually have your entire overinflated ego built upon your own self-perceived rationality.  
Unless they have sever brain damage, in which case they would be being wheeled around by a nurse instead of witnessing, they’d figure out it was a mannequin by the fact it it isn’t moving, or breathing, or showing any signs of life, or the sense of uncanny valley one gets from looking at hyperrealstic imitations of humans

I wish I could just build a life like dummy of myself and secretly set it up at the door after I answer it then close the door and sneak back into the living room and resume whatever it was I doing before they interrupted. Let them waste their time trying to convert a mannequin to their cult. They’re used to imaginary friends as it is.

Like man who do you think I am? Ed Wood? Give me some credit, the flames would be real flames captured on film and projected onto like little pull down screens set up around my house to give the illusion of real fire. Also my grip may be weak but it’s persistent. If I fail to snatch it out of their hands I’ll just give them a hot foot.

A guy I knew from a youth group when I was a kid actually liked to play pranks on them, like dump a bucket of water on them from the second story window. At which point they would angrily start praying for more patience.

Truthfully, I don’t really hate them, because they mean well, and I had a friend whom was one, but he wasn’t pushy like them, and he was cool with me being a different religion.

I have a great system for scaring away Jehovah’s witnesses. I do as I open the door and I try to make acting the way I make him think I am actually The devil in disguise you know like I have like fake flames around my house somewhere. Distort my voice a little while I talk and and I still don’t scare me away I rip the propaganda out of their hands and and set it on fire with a grill lighter. If I can get a hold of a devil costume I think it would complete the effect.

I don’t get it either. I guess it’s ‘cause Hanukkah implies they’re religious/Jewish, and some atheist fans dislike any hint of religion in MLP fanart. (Heck remember the stink people made over “Feeling Pinkie-Keen?”)  
Meanwhile Christmas is celebrated by both religious, and secular/atheist people, so seeing ponies celebrate it doesn’t imply religious undertones to them, I guess. (But there are some who do get bent over that holiday too.)
 
Still, I see nothing wrong with Hanukkah getting some love, and I think people should be a bit more open-minded.

I had a friend who was a “Jahava’s Witness,” sadly he wasn’t allowed to celebrate any holidays, ‘cause they don’t believe you should. (Which I found odd, ’cause Jesus celebrated Passover.)

As a Jew myself, I can see Rarity as one too. Generosity is an important part of the faith, so I’ve been taught.
