not a stable, a batpony castle. and BJ is whiskey-ing
goldenblood is pissed that blackjack isn’t going to execute him
Partially correct. Goldenblood’s AI torture was in the dungeon of the bat pony castle, which had been magically phased into another dimension by Nightmare Moon way back before her banishment. The suspended animation torture session was his own idea, a way to repent until someone who could understand everything he did could finish him off. That last part was just such a convoluted plan, though, that he probably never wanted his suffering to end.
Oh my god are you serious?! This is just beyond stupid….I think Somber has been wanting to redeem Goldenblood in the eyes of the viewer or something which is foolish if you ask me because he long crossed the moral event horizon. But putting him in charge of everyone AGAIN?! That’s sure the right thing to do Blackjack. I’m sure glad that idiot of a mare isn’t the hero in charge of my salvation.
And in this conversation Goldenblood reveals that everything went to shit 200 years ago because he is/was kinda-sorta brainwashed by an alien spirit. So Blackjack gets the brilliant idea to put him in the exact same situation by putting him in charge of everyone in the wasteland. Dammit, Somber.
Apparently Goldenblood was stuck in some sort of AI perpetual torture thing on a moonbase, and Blackjack decided to break him out of it.
To be fair, it’s been hinted at since very early on that Goldenblood was still kicking somehow, but really, him and BJ just having a drink and casual conversation? Dammit, Somber.
Somebody who has read the chapter explain to me what the heck is going on here.
deadfrom 200 years ago?
