The right to defend outselves is just simple survival instincts kicking in, regardless of who’s the one attacking, it still has the ability to kick in all the same, but others reserve the right to judge what they see based on their perception of events, and their beliefs.
 
The latter, unfortunately, is what defines the taboos of society as a whole. “Equality” means for things to be equal, but respect is never given, it’s earned, and that’s something feminists don’t understand. Complaining about a lack of equality is the equivalent of fearing the tantrum of a child, and at the end of the day, when it isn’t feared, it’s pitied and ignored.
 
And the meaning of respect isn’t learned as a result, the child, the feminists, will just scream louder.

Well for the record, I’m heavily sexist, but the double-standard has gotten so far out of hand, most men can easily acknowledge a “place” where certain old stereotypes are put to rest. Like “hitting a woman”, for instance.
 
Old days, under no circumstances should it occur. NOW, you’ll frequently see it happen “when she crosses the line”.
 
And more to the point, more and more people agree with the placement of a ‘line’, on the terms of ‘equality among men and women’ in a social manner.

Not really the same at all, but it doesn’t really matter anyways. The only thing that matters is Sarkeesian’s actual discussion and points, which make very little sense.
 
She’s going on and on about cherry-picked examples of games where women are just sex objects/things that the man saves and completely ignores the myriad of games we have with female protagonists.  
Not only that, her entire point about women just being damsels in distress makes little sense. Sure, there are games where there’s no story beyond that, but she takes Zelda and Peach as examples.  
Zelda has proven herself capable both in combat and in helping Link many a time.  
Peach is the ruler of the mushroom kingdom. She has enough on her plate, do you expect her to also be stomping on Bowser?  
And then there was her point about Hitman, where she completely misconstrued the point of the game and what you’re supposed to do.  
I won’t epxplain that one in full but here’s a link.  
Really, I could care less about what kind of dumb things she did before her video series, even if that is some pretty terrible stuff. Her points about tropes in video games are illogical and badly put together, and should find no ears listening to them.

You mean the fact she pretty much castigates whole communities of people, makes snide remarks with a smirk on her face and then when shit hits the fan she cries patriarchy and when she attends lectures that she is paid to be there, she tries to strong-arm the police into taking away students rights and when they deny her that. She runs like a chickenshit coward that she is?
 
Or anytime a video gets negative outlook from outside gamers because her puppeteer boyfriend opens her mouth to cast down sex workers and she suddenly has to leave her home and don’t forget to donate, she put it right there on the Twitter about it.
