Fair enough, although aging wouldn’t be a completely new concept to them, unless they were literally created at their current age.
Even then, we don’t know if they lost all of their siren magic: SS had her demon form defeated, but she still retained some of the magic, evident by how she wasn’t effected by the sirens in the first place. They could probably still be immortal if they come return to equestria, as they’re still biologically sirens; unless their siren forms got shoved into the gems, thus they would default to ponies when returning.

Actually, that’s exactly what I meant by “slow execution” - ie; taking away something’s immortality IS killing it, even if it takes 80 years of ‘natural’ causes/old age, it’s forcibly removing a huge chunk of their lifespan to a permanent end: ie, killing them.

Funny thing is, since that one line in the movie, where Aria tells Sonata to follow her lead, I imagine Aria as the power hungry one, and Adagio as just the leader.
It’s easy to imagine them as ponies. The energetic one as the pegasus. The magic and power hungry one as the unicorn. And…actually, Aria is a bit bland, so I guess she has to be the earth pony.
