That question has been on my mind as well. I once thought of a silly clopfic idea that involved the Dazzlings brainwashing Principals Celestia and Luna and giving them no memory of what they did afterwards.

If public mockery is a common problem that happens in most high-schools, then it could be an obstacle that people can relate to.
I guess turnabout is fair play, after all. Now the Dazzlings are the ones being ostracized by the school.
That brings an interesting question: Do they remember being brainwashed? The effect seems different than what Sunset did in the first movie.
And in case they don’t remember, the dazzlings are just going to be “Those chicks that sang badly”.
I’m not sure if the students had any memory of being under the Dazzlings’ control.
All we know is that the students are gonna treat the Dazzlings like outcasts like they did with Sunset Shimmer earlier in the movie.
Yeah, and they had no idea they had been entranced again by the Dazzlings.
Or they did, and once hearing the Dazzlings true singing talent, knew the three needed a good humiliation with the fruit and vegetable pelting as payback for putting the school under another spell.
Their pendents weren’t the only things that shattered after they lost, but their self-esteem as well.
I think the audience was more like “God, these girls SUCK!”
