I hated Revenge of the Nerds and the entire idea of “put-down, nerdy highschool underdog gets the last laugh in the end!” It’s so short-sighted and petty, all you accomplish is reversing the order of who’s the oppressor and the oppressed.
 
If being a “nerd” is actually meant to be better because it correlates to higher intelligence and understanding, shouldn’t it lead to the conclusion that the best outcome is peace and fraternity for all? I know an ending where everyone reconciles their differences doesn’t satisfy our gut-born lust for revenge, but it’s the higher goal.
