Sides..they aren’t bad, just obvious Hasbro marketing material. Least they gave us Sunset.
He was saying it was only the setting was the reason people don’t like it, he is over simplifying it, that was the problem I had with his comment.
No, I was pointing out how people have more then just the setting for there reason they don’t like it.
Like I said reread my comment and comprehend better.
The point you’re still not getting is how that particular comment you objected to was only observing that complaints about setting didn’t have a leg to stand on. It said nothing about people with other issues.
No you did that yourself by you first comment saying no more then how it can be good just because it has the same setting as Persona and saying “suck it” to the ones that doesn’t like it, you over simplified it to just the setting being the reason and then pointing out something that is loved for a number of things, it’s setting having next to nothing to do with it, as a means of how hey are wrong.
I just pointed out to you there is far more to both, the reasons some don’t like EqG and why people love Persoan, then just setting.
Dude, you’re putting words in my mouth now. I never said it was good because something else in a high school setting was good. I said that people shouldn’t write it off as a terrible cash grab just because of it’s setting, like I’ve seen so many people do before.
does not
I was never talking about reasons for people to like one thing and hate another, I was talking about how parallel between two things doesn’t not mean someone should like them both and that Animanga was missing the whole point that is wasn’t just because of the setting being a high school so saying “well this other thing is set in a high school and is good so this is good too”.
I’m saying people have more then one superficial aspect for why they may not like it.
Now if you are just here to put words in peoples mouths to cause trouble then go away, if not then reread what I was talking about and comprehend better.
Most of what you say doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. I have yet to see you offer any strong arguments for why anyone should like one of the things you apparently like and dislike EqG. Equestria Girls is definitely at least as watchable as any “sentai” show. While there’s room for personal taste in all this, you’re definitely not going to convince me that there are objective reasons why someone should be a fan of one and hate the other.
*didn’t like it.
*some saw
And as I said before, it’s not the setting that is why some thought it was bad, some thought that being in high school it would be full of the cliches seen in other things aimed st girls with the same setting, and even then some say it and still didn’t like you.
You are assuming that the setting is the only reason people don’t like it, so that’s why it same off as you undercutting Personas by saying that becouse it’s also in a high school setting.
You missed why the people that don’ like it think they way they do.
What I was saying with that first statement was that because a story’s in a highschool setting doesn’t automatically mean it’s terrible because hey, Persona’s got a high school setting and it’s really good. It’s not saying “They are the same”. It’s saying “Writing this whole thing off because of the setting is stupid when good things have been made with the same setting” Because that seemed to be so many people’s reactions to it.
UYou have no idea how far off you are…
Just because Fallout Equestria is a hing doesn’t mean people are going to dismiss the tone of something just to see parallels as meaning somthing can be just as good.
For one thing I really like Kamen Rider Fourze(the one I put a picture of) and Persona 3 & 4, but the parallels between them and Equestria Girls(and Fourze has far more parallels to it then Persona) do nothing to make it any better to me, it’s very mediocre to me, so when you went “I present to you the Persona series so that you may suck on it” that was so much you shitting over Persona as you undercutting what made it good just to point out the parallels.
I’m not a fan of Fallout and Fallout Equestria makes no sense to me because of the tones not fitting, some may not mind but others will not care for it.
You can;t just say that having parallel to something a lot of people find great means another thing isn’t bad. By that logic sense rip-offs are cheap copies of things then they are good just for having so much in comment with what they rip-off, no matter even if they are shit.
That’s Kamen Rider, right? Or is it Power Rangers? Definitely a sentai show, yeah, that would be a good fit too, along with Sailor Moon and the like. A lot of anime or japanese programming really. A lot of it involves high school and/or the power of friendship.
But still, in a world where Fallout Equestria is a thing, I don’t think the tone of the media is much of a barrier when it comes to crossover/parallels.
Oh yes, because if you like it then that means everyone has to have the same taste…
Ugh.
They must not be that bad if they don’t bother me.
It’s still a leap from EqG to Persona, And sometime its better to find something that fits a little better.
For me I didn’t think it would suck just from being in a high school as I knew of a show very close to the idea that I happened to like, frindship being the power behind the heroes being a key point as well.
Then you could stand to give them more thought, if those the the only reasons you can think of for people to hate it.
Probably because I don’t get why people think it sucks other than for aesthetic reasons and Flash Sentry. And I’m associating what I like about Equestria Girls with what I like about Persona. Which is not the heavy dark story elements, it’s the lighthearted humorous character moments and relationships. which both have. Maybe I should establish that what I like about Persona are those lighthearted moments and that won’t make it seem like I’m trying to somehow shit on it by saying these two things that I really like have similarities?
You are still getting the wrong idea of why people think EqG sucks and undercutting Persona by making this comparison.
You may as well use Power Rangers as an example, it’s at lest in the same vein as EqG, not Persona.
Yeah, some of the characters in SMT games are high school students, but Persona isn’t occurring during the apocalypse and involves attending classes and hanging out with friends, which is why it can be considered a high school spinoff.
Also, yeah, they aren’t going to kill off the villains because the series is still aimed towards children, while the SMT series definitely is not, but like I said, the parallels are still there. And considering the universe established so far, something like the Mignight Channel wouldn’t seem out of place in the Equestria Girls universe.
But the threat of death was real enough. That fireball would’ve roasted the lot of ’em.
And they are beaten for good and never seen again?
Nope, they still get to live and even a chance to turn over a new leaf.
That IS lighthearted, other wise Sunset would of not been turned good and helped out in 2.
