Actually, look closely, you can still see her after she goes out the door. But the colour of her hair makes her blend in with the background through the glass.

I was going to say the door lead to white empty space and it wasn’t actually transparent, just painted with a picture of an urban landscape, but looking closely it’s just laziness.
