I use linux b/c it’s cheap. yes I could pirate windoze but then I’d be advertising it.

I am inclined to agree with @JP on this matter. Your choice of OS should suit your needs. I, for example, use Windows 7 at my home PC (for games mostly) and Ubuntu at my notebook (for work). Home server, of course, runs Linux too.

lots of servers use linux, you may not have seen a linux OS before but your computer has had many a conversation with them.

I just use whatever suits for the task at hand. That is, I use both Windows and Linux. Plus a rather large number of VMs on both sides. Why limit yourself?

Tell the truth, I’ve actually never seen a Linux before.
