In both senses, given I’m pretty sure Derpy-Doc comes from a specific audio play (as opposed to the audio play using that pairing because it’s already popular, like a lot of others, especially Vinyl-Tavi) where voice-actor shenanigans robbed the doc of his original voice (not miss Muffins, mind you, but she lost hers in canon instead)
‘Course, from what I can recall, Derpy’s not her real name in that either, and it came before Muffins was a thing :P But, well, ‘Spoilers’ ;P
