still hoping for a bonbon/lyra episode to make the couple canon, as well as the opportunity to make it about tolerance. Would be groundbreaking for the gay community and the advancement of society itself while keeping it kid friendly.
 
Did the Rainbow Rocks duet do enough for you? I mean…that’s as canon as it can get without it outright saying it :P

one of my most favorite parts of FiM is when the characters have some equine behavior (Twilight and Pinkie eating flowers, kicking with back legs and stuff like that) I like the idea of “lick = affection”, but I must say licking isnt an equine behavior, horses bite each others most of the time, there is a Gavalanche’s picture of that situation… and… I… love it.

Different times. Also, G4 ponies have more human-like expressions and settings which would make licking appear less innocent in context. If it happens, it’ll be most likely between siblings, like AJ and Applebloom.
