Going for a very artificial average based on images posted in PB’s first 7 months, 143 images a day between November 24 2010 and July 1st 2011. So roughly a 5th of the current weekday rate.
I wouldn’t know off hand, though can probably get upload averages of some sort. I didn’t “join the fandom” until a month after I finished watching the show, and it was still several months into the first hiatus until I bothered to check fandom sites (so, July/August 2011 or so).
Back then I thought safe shipping images were morally wrong and I actually filtered them out… Good times.
Derp– all the “2 years ago” looked like the last “20 hours ago” in the list.

How often was new fan art uploaded that early on?
A low res version was uploaded here September 9th, 2012. It was just merged (hence the 2 year old comments.)
