Because it’s utterly, GLORIOUSLY ridiculous.
Horses race, and that’s about the only normal thing about it. Elephants, giraffes, pandas and komodo dragons will share space with regular horses. Except the regular horses will show up in gear like the one in this picture, do the Charleston, throw airline food on the track to distract their opponents, or wear bosozoku bike decorations to get an edge in each race.
… Well, that’s just dedication!
