Why not? Never said anything about war with Equestria. Celestia is getting weaker as the show progresses. Raises the sun and thats about it. Luna isnt ready for the responsibility. Twilight took what was her birthright, then added the world to sweaten immortality. 1000 years can change any pony. She’s a goddess already, why not add empress to it. This is why i posted anonamsly, this remark. Had thought of using it as basis for something longer. Now i will. Got nothing nice to say about it, fuck off.

Although Ponyville declared independence, there is a large gap between that and going to war on Equestria. While conflict in a very real possibility, both sides are the sort to use violence as a last resort.
 
And a number of her friends have very, very good reasons to not support violence against Equestria. The majority of Applejack’s family lives there, as does Pinkie Pie’s; Rarity’s profession would require importing a large variety of dyes and fabrics, while the weather team needs support from Cloudsdale to keep the weather and seasons going.
 
If something like this would happen, they would be but a degree of separation away from what the Crystal Empire is to Equestria. Ties between the two would remain close, and while Twilight may be angry over being denied what she viewed as her right as a princess, she is too close to and has too much history with Celestia to turn on her over something like this.
 
And setting her up to be the God-Empress of Ponykind is just silly.

1,000 years later: a century after declaring her own kingdom Queen Twilight absorbed the remnants of Equestria( after Celestia and Luna passed on and inheriting controll of the sun and moon). After permanently securing her kingdom’s southern border’s along the Badlands( and scaring the dragons into submission) Queen Twilight( after discarding the old title of Princess) looked North for further conquest. 200 years after becoming Queen of a reunited Equestria, Queen Twilight added the Crystal Empire to the Equestrian Hegomony. Now the sole ruler of the Equestrian continent, Queen Twilight looked to the rest of the world to conquer. 50 years later, the last bastion of resistance collapsed, making Twilight sole ruler of the world.
 
Now Empress Twilight rules the Twilight Empire from the continent sised Impirial Palace centerd on a re-built Ponyville. All the provence’s are administerd by Regional Govenors, each over seen by a member of Empress Twilight’s Praetorian Guard( whose ABSOUTE loyality is to HER and HER alone), making sure all citizens pay their annual taxe’s to the Provence, and the provence their annual tithes to the empire.

Truly, the greatest of pruz’dents.

The purpose of the S05 finale will be for Twilight to befriend the entire country, and through all their inert magic within (pony magicks have been hinted at mostly in cutie mark-centric episodes and especially in S04E25), Equestria pulls a Level-15-of-Osu!-Tatakae!-Ouendan!. Which’d probably be tangentally related to the Friendship Games line, the same way Rainbow Power and Rainbow Rocks coincided slightly.
 
Because if I see one more two-parter that doesn’t incorporate toy designs into BPs, I will set my own house aflame. Why?… It won’t survive a California earthquake. Two birds… What the hell am I talking of? XD

The main benefit of being an immortal alicorn: the kindom’s first, and only Queen. And once everyone passe’s on, Queen Twilight can do away with the ilusion of democracy, and rule as absolute monarch, spliting the guard into 2 branches: those that guard the kingdom and her subjects, and her Praetorian Guard(those who guard her day or night), with ABSOLUTE loyalty to HER and HER ALONE( picked from the best mare’s from the acadamy, whose loyalty to her alone is beyond doubt.) And the top mare from the Praetorian Guard whould become Queen’s Champion, and Queen’s First and only Consort( when endowed as Champion, Queen Twilight whould bind their life-forces together giving her immortality, and power second only to her.)

Long live LNR and DNR, yay!

Equestria doesn’t need a pretty pretty princess, Equestria needs a majestic Queen…no bugs.

And, finally, a rightful queen.  
Not those lousy princesses.

When one thinks of it, it feels like Twilight is succeeding not to form the successor to the confederacy, but the successor to the union, as Celestia’s kingdom smacks more of a monarchal-type state and the reverse for Twilight’s ideal kingdom c.S05. I should note that whites didn’t view the real confederacy as a monarchy obviously, but the blacks did for even more obvious reasons. :)

I’ve seen this story before; I know how it ends. Ponyville secedes from Equestria, Twilight’s friends secede from Ponyville, Pinkie’s toilet and dresser are Transformers, and everypony learns a valuable lesson when it turns out their WMDs are fake.
