@Background Pony #28FF
I guess a more accurate thing to say is that he was very lucky and very unlucky at the same time
Edited
Does that mean one has good luck if they’re stricken by an aneurysm at age 30? <w<
Survived, yes. But I suspect he may have counted himself luckier still, if he never had to live through the aftermath of a single nuked, let alone two.
If you survive.
But he SURVIVED both, and lived a long life afterward. The guy just have cell membranes made of lead
Did you not see the part where he lived 70 more years after both bombs?
Getting nuked twice counts as lucky now?
Or he was just the luckiest bastard on the planet
That man was made of something stronger than iron.
Indeed, he ended up living until 2011 and had three healthy kids.

It gets better. The guy who lived through Hiroshima? He moved away to another, safer city in Japan.
Which one? Nagasaki. And he lived through that bomb, too!
Wow, that’s impressive.
Although I get the feeling this bomb is probably more powerful than Little Boy. Either way she definitely should be getting some major radiation sickness
Edited
I think it depends a lot on the bomb’s yield, how far away it is, if the wind is carrying any fallout in her direction, etc. I mean, there was one lucky(?) man who lived through ground zero at Hiroshima.
@BarryFromMars
I don’t think even the most heavy duty of refrigerator’s from back then would’ve been able to survive a nuclear blast from only a mile or two away, not the mention the radiation he was exposed to would’ve been more than enough to kill him in a very short time
So she got superpowers?
Didn’t everyone get them back then when exposed to exploding nukes?
I get that he’s a douche, but his character’s supposed to be a douche. He was born for the role!
Shia LaBeouf, that´s all
Yes! Thank you! And I don’t get what’s wrong with using aliens, either. Sure, it’s different from previous movies, but why would that matter?
“People need to understand that the fridges of that day… were made of lead and can take that abuse… the tumbling it did after the blast should have at least broken a bone or give her a concussion.”
I’m not 100% sure on this but there have been lots of fridge designs that were heavy-duty in a lot of ways. I even saw a commercial for one that showed an elephant stepping on one and it didn’t buckle or anything, but how heavy is an elephant and was it an adult or baby elephant?
