@Sdf1jjak
ya’ll on dumb
ground bursts don’t do the most damage - that would be airbursts, but they don’t detonate as high as you would if you wanted an EMP. usually like, a couple thousand feet. most ground bursts don’t detonate on impact, just need them to be a little bit off the ground - it’s defined as a ground burst as long as the fireball touches the ground
O and EMPs are overrated, what BP#B3DF said technically isn’t wrong but to make an EMP that strong you need multi-megaton weapons which are, for the most part, not in service anymore
Do you not see the case off to her right? That’s a mobile command system. BTW, you’re only half right. Yes, nukes CAN be detonated at high alt, but nukes also can be programmed to detonate on impact. In-air nukes are only capable of delivering a EMP punch that would knock out modern transistor electronics instantly (while electron tube tech would be unaffected). Ground detonated nukes, however, do the most damage and generate the most fallout.
I don’t think those are bombs… Nukes usually detonate at high altitude or by the time they are near their target they run out of propellent and the inertia carries them to ground zero. I think they might actually be meteors.
