It’s really funny how many people just don’t get that Twilight’s dumb because she’s not an arthorse, yet didn’t delegate the carving to one of her four arthorse friends, including the one who has Gems as her special talents or the one who grew up on a rock farm and could have made a working copy through sheer brute force of personality..
Ouch. A harsh truth.
She’s always been portrayed as very multi-skilled. It might be an earth pony trait to have such a diversity of skill, just look at all the random things Pinkie Pie is good at.
So any opinion that differs from yours is automatically shitposting? If so, then why aren’t you calling all the others that mentioned Twilight being less intelligent than she thinks she is shitposters as well. Asshole.

Sometimes it just seems too convenient that she seems to be a mare of endless talent. It’s almost like they’re trying to say “look she’s not just a farm pony who can do nothing but kick trees”, but it comes off as improbably diverse. That’s just my thoughts though…
If that is indeed the point, it could easily been made much clearer.
It wasn’t supposed to be a false heart, Twilight just assumed that the celebration required a relatively generic crystal heart decoration.
It’s not like they were originally planning on fooling the crystal ponies regarding the fake heart.
It likely didn’t seem prudent to make the heart look better than it did.

Yeah, it’s not that it’s dumb that Twilight can’t carve a decent crystal heart, it’s that it’s dumb that she didn’t ask AJ, who apparently CAN, to do so instead.
It doesn’t make sense and it’s totally illogical. But hey. It’s fucking magic. You go Twilight! So smart!
Well AJ wasn’t actually trying to sculpt the Crystal Heart. You don’t exactly praise a Wolverine toy for looking more like Wolverine than a Deadpool toy does.
