Basically every side-scrolling beat-em-up in the arcades back in the day, particularly those made by Konami, had enemies that would grab you and hold you, sometimes while another one hit you. The game would instruct you to “PUSH BUTTONS WIGGLE JOYSTICK” to break free from their grip.
A demo release of a never-finished RPG Maker game called Genesis. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be online; your best chance of finding it might be to see if anyone from this thread still has a copy.
