That’s what powerful threats do. They are so powerful, they don’t need to get all specific about the magic they use. Tirek could’ve tapped into any of the spells he knows, or even call upon Discord’s power (or even his own), yet he never did. Same with Twilight (Though admittedly she had no morals for this one…)

@PonyPon Yup. We really needed a fight like this between Sombra and Twilight.  
The problem with power-suckers is they just take others’ powers until they can simply overpower the next step up the opposition. Tirek graduated from the Ash Ketchum school of tactical ability. Power suckers never really use what they steal, they just fire raw bolts of power. Wastefully inefficient and lacking in class and finesse I say!  
 
Also it needed a lot more teleportation hijinks

Be like the Merlin vs Mim battle in Sword in the Stone but more serious and ponified.  
There was a taste of the potential with Trixie, but we need unicorns trying to turn each other into tadpoles or shooting stone gazes with wild abandon. Really rip the hell out of things. Summon a hurricane, combat that by plopping a mountain on it, combat that with a gemstone drill, combat that with a petrified tree used as a chisel. Something like that.

Interesting use of stretch for Tirek’s impact. Most of the percieved force comes through from the lines of force around him, rather than a distorted body.

Do we have Vectors of Twi’s faces during this scene? I would very much like to have them.
