I read some reviews and I can tell I’d hate it. I hate stories where people do stupid things like withholding essential information/knowledge from allies for no good reason and the plot is advanced/stalled by randomly passing idiot ball between the main cast.

This part is a direct allusion to “Lost”. For those who’ve never watched it – scenes with characters roaming aimleslly back and forward through the jungle take up to around 80% of every damn episode. Five more percent of screentime are devoted to characters walking through the jungle in flashbacks. And 5% to characters doing the same in flashforwards.
