Yeah, that is messed-up. I mean, it wouldn’t of been so bad if they just mentioned it, but to actually use footage of real people dying is rather messed-up, and morally wrong.

True enough but everyone’s got their own ideas of what does and does not constitutes exploitation. I remember being seriously disgusted when Hollywood remade The Omen and used footage of the recent ‘Christmas tsunami’ washing people out to sea for ‘See, nature rebelling at the birth of the Anti-Christ’! When I complained about it I was told I was over-reacting to a silly movie. I commented that if it was ‘just a silly movie’ that made their usage of very real film footage of very real human beings dying by the scores to promote it even worse.

Yeah, I’ve done dark-comedy myself, but it is kinda pushing it a li’l.
 
Also, “exploiting events,” has actually been done in superhero comics sense the early days, so it’s nothing new, but there is a difference between “exploiting,” and just merely referencing them.

I have to say, this one is kind of tasteless.

I’ll admit I’d probably want to read that Hellboy one.

Whats not to get? Its a Comic, on how Comic Writers are using such conspiracies as the Kennedy assassination to push there Characters.
 
Christoper Reeve used to play Superman in the 70’s & 80’s. Was paralyzed when his Horse threw him off. The Joke here was that the Pastel colored equine. Must have spooked the real Horse(s)…
