Looking around the various wikis it looks like the black iron set is “slightly worse then giants but slightly lighter” but boasts the highest fire resistance.
I believe giantdad just gives the highest poise possible so you never get staggered or whatever they called it in darksouls. Mind you the informaton I’m going off of is pre-abyss walker which changed a lot of things and armor values may have been one.
Havel’s gives best magic resistance I believe.
No surprise, if I remember right it gives the best physical damage resistance in the whole game once fully upgraded.
