Yeah but you’re still not a priority
You’re dead last
Hasbro has always supported adult fans in some way: old gen collectors.
When they found out LOTS of adults were watching the new show they immediately went to DHX and told them to get to work on season 2 (I don’t think the crew found out about us until halfway through the season 2 script-writing phase so I might be wrong about this).
In any case, Lauren wrote that some adults would be watching the show in the pitch that Hasbro greenlit, so that is likely the reason they were cool with the sudden fanbase.
Because they push it off onto other companies like IDW, Funko, and WeLoveFine instead of dealing with them directly.
Why do these big companies hate these unintended audiences so much that even the prospect of greater profits gets trumped?
How is it that Hasbro manage to handle this?
And Motorcity…
@SeraphimDawn
And Invader Zim…
And Disney Tron…
I really dislike it when fans go around doing that. I can understand non-fans having misconceptions about the show but I expect people who watch to at least have some idea about what goes on behind the scenes.
Also if Hasbro did not want adults watching, they would probably have canceled the show after one season. Big corporations don’t like “wrong audiences”. Just look at what happened to Young Justice.
Well of course! No point in excluding mothers. Older women who grew up with ponies are more likely to buy toys for their kids (or themselves).
I pretty glad this fanbase doesn’t exclude women either and that brony is a gender/age neutral term.
Yeah.
Tell that to those fedora hating tumblrinas.
I think he was mocking the “HASBRO DOESN’T LOVE US AND IS TRYING TO FORCE US AWAY!!!!!!!111111!!!!” crowd.
sarcasm*
Hehehe! I’m only teasing :P
Well said, good sir!
Yeah…
Hey guys, I think maybe they don’t want us to be fans.
Don’t forget frozen
Most of the Pony toys in my stores sit in remote corners of the Pink aisle.
You do realise that a show is not an actual physical item, and therefore can be enjoyed by multiple groups of people at the same time, and maybe for different reasons as well? Anyway neither us nor little girls own MLP, hasbro does. It is nice when they pay attention to us, but ultimately, they don’t own us anything.
Well no shit, My niece likes them. all Im saying that they should be put adults fans as a tertiary target and not just as “adult fans” like we are byproduct.
