The only reasons Snipelight and Fluttermedic are obvious is because it’s already established. Military Snipers may use math, but they tend to snipe from greater distances than TF2’s Sniper does, who is also implied to have learned his trade from hunting, so it’s likely that he doesn’t actually do much figuring with numbers. Fluttershy as Medic is just a stereotype of making Fluttershy the team healer, regardless to her fitting the role or not.
At least, that’s my opinion on the matter. _;
As for Demo, I dunno, Berry Punch? Sibsy said she wanted to make an alcoholic joke but they didn’t let her, Either that or Zecora but I really can’t picture her being piss drunk and swinging around a huge bloody sword.
@YetAnotherBrony
We even have Pinkie using a minigun, like the Heavy! Yes, said “minigun” was actually Twilight, but the thought still counts.
Heavy as Pinkie works too. Laughs a lot, considers ALL the other mercenaries his friends, OM NOM NOM NOM (only it’s cupcakes instead of
sandwichessandviches)…I was actually thinking Heavy for Pinkie. Loud, eats a lot, gathers everyone attention? Sure, Heavy’s slow as hell but we have to compromise somewhere.
And Pinkie can be the Demoman! Nothing says “Surprise!” like detonating a sticky-trap under your enemies’ feet! Also tends to pop out of nowhere, due to sticky-jumping and shield-charging.
Medicshy? Obvious? Medics go out and HEAL people on the battlefield! Fluttershy wouldn’t even leave the base in order to do anything useful!
Oh, don’t get me wrong. Twilight makes an excellent Medic and Fluttershy a perfect Sniper. It’s just that the argument can be made for Snipelight, and Medicshy is kind of obvious.
Look: There’s a reason that Metal-Kitty swapped Twilight and Fluttershy’s roles. Just LOOK for it.
Well, by that logic, none of the mercenaries are very good leader figures. Those who aren’t completely insane are either loners, man-children, or dismissive of the crazies, loners, and man-children surrounding him. The possible exception is the Engineer, and Twilight tends more towards theory than application.
Snipelight works if you use Twilight from before the series premiere. Heck, her tower apartment would make an ideal sniper nest.
Of course, that’s with the default loadout. A Sniper with the Huntsman and Jarate, needing to be a bit closer to the action and capable of malicious and benevolent support, might fit Twilight rather well as well.
But then again, she’d waste time thinking about the trajectory instead of just shooting them.
Plus, Twilight is supposed to be a leader Figure. The Sniper isn’t.
I think Twilight does. Theres a LOT of math that needs to be done to be a proper sniper. You have to know the velocity of your bullet, the pull of the wind, the trajectory of the shot, any and all obsticals infront of your shot, and the proper place to land said shot. Physics, math, and anatomy. Sounds like Twilight’s area of expertise to me.
I’m still unsure about who makes the better Sniper and who makes the better Medic, Twilight or Fluttershy.
