because the CMC ALWAYS get into trouble
this was the ONE AND ONLY time one of the CMC demonstrated true independence, that and ONE episode in season 5. in EVERY other episode they are in, they are UNDER-SUPERVISED.. but this picture is still hilarious :P

I think it’s less about the purpose of the joke than the comparative lack of sanity seem.
With Twilight the joke is “look how OCD she’s being”
With AJ the joke is “Look how little credit she’s giving her sister.”
