__So what? Do we have any reason whatsoever to believe that their transformation wouldn’t cause them to follow the same design rules as the other breezies?
More importantly, since when has anything in this show used eye shape to denote sex? We’ve seen that ponies of the same gender can have different eye shape, so why would we assume that the breezies suddenly restrict it by sex?
Tfw all my relationships have left me broken hearted.
TFW I may never be a dad.
It really isn’t a big deal. My upload about the subject was more to poke fun.
that’s funny when it obviously matters to you a lot.
Yes. Exactly my point.
THEY’RE IDIOT HORSE BUGS, WHY DOES THIS EVEN MATTER TO PEOPLE
It was worth a shot, because I certainly find the quest for discerning their sexes through visual cues just as absurd.
My problem is more with the barrage of “you can tell male and female Breezies apart by (random method here), FOR GUARANTEED FACT” posts.
Having a way to confirm sex doesn’t take away from their androgyny.
Despite the constant male pronouns, being a father, and being voiced by Brian freaking Drummond, people still struggle with Seabreeze being male.
One hopes they shouldn’t have to. What’s wrong with being androgynous faeries?
One hopes they’ll sort this out soon, then.
until the animators spill the beans
Probably the most reasonable thing I’ve heard anyone say on the subject of breezie genders.
Seabreeze was the only one who got gender-pronouned, so there’s no way to be certain, but there are Breezies with long hair and Breezies with friggin’ crazy long hair, and at the end all of the pairs were between long and crazylong; it seems a fairly safe bet that the long were male like Seabreeze, and the crazylong female.

Going by the picture above, you could just as easily come to the conclusion that male breezies are blue.
Oval eyes are round, and the manes were given breezie character designs, with the only out of place element being alicorns for Rarity and Twilight. No proof whatsoever that they got to have special eye designs.
and we have some proof. it’s in that picture above.
heck, if you look at that party scene where two are dancing, one has circle eyes and one almond eyes. mostly likely male and female.
Given that the Manes were turned into breezies, and had breezie character designs, why should we assume that their standard eye designs trumped the transformations?
And we still have no proof that eye shape is linked to gender for breezies.
