I guess Rarity would probably have a major freakout if Applejack’s dirty hooves went to make contact with her gracious lips.
Nah. Her hoof has just enough of the taste of the most expensive apple variety they’re selling at the time for the taste to get stuck in their head. By the time comes to stock up on apples, they’re buying the expensive one because Applejack has brainwashed that variety into their head with the taste. That, or some sort of apple juice that makes them like apples and hate pears.
