Yeah, it was a brief gag in a commercial bit. I think the joke is more on how Doof’ took the “horses on shelves” thing literally.
 
Napoleon Bonafrog in the new Nick TMNT show wears a “Friendship is Tragic” shirt. So it’s not uncommon for cartoons to reference/spoof each other.

Yeah, I think the brony-haters, Tumblr-goers, and such are making (some) bronies become to touchy/sensative to anything even slightly poking fun at them… I’m a brony, and I think this is kinda funny personally.
 
Heck, this is practically a compliment compared to things I’ve seen some people say about bronies…

Personally, I’m not even offended. To me it’s not really anything to get your jimmies rustled with.

Sure it’s not flattering, and cliche’, but hey, it’s kinda funny to see them reference bronies. Also, Doof’s remark about “having horses on shelves,” (which he takes quite literally) kinda hints he doesn’t know much about bronies at all.

There are more “WHY IS THERE DRAMA” comments than drama comments. I don’t even see anyone who seems genuinely upset. More of a “boo, that joke is overdone and not that funny” than “boo, that joke offended me”

Yeah, no. Cartoon Network already tried that live-action mess and it didn’t work too well for them. So they certainly won’t be going that direction, again.
 
Nicktoons has gone pretty badly downhill without alot of help from their live-action shows, honestly. They’re getting plenty of new cartoons and all. But the only good new one they got would be Korra. TMNT’s not too bad, either.
 
With MLP and LPS being the HUB’s most successful original shows, they’d be stupid to go live-action any time soon.
 
Either way, with the most successful shows on these networks being cartoons, I highly doubt animation’s going to become obsolete any time in the near or far future.

It’s way the Avatar shows are so good, it’s about the story and charters first, it’s being made just for pleasing the kids.

I can understand why you miss them. All Disney cares to show are their “funy kanned laffter” sitcoms.
 
But yeah, no word on when the new season will be. We just know that there will be one.  
They also had a series of 6 shorts in mid-October. You oughta check those out, too. They get pretty creepy.
