Yeah there’s always a few times it pops prematurely on me, a truly evil soul came up with these things.
But there is always the unnerving part of removing the outer lable to sort of prime it for detonation, and sometimes there is a misfire… *shudders*
If you pop it will be on my terms.
I peel it a little then tap them on the edge of the counter, you just have to learn how far to peel so it won’t pop without the tap.
Something about unwrapping those things just knowing they are about to go off at some unknown but close point is so nerving.
I tend to have my mom open them or I slam them into the edge of the counter to make them pop rather then letting them decide when to go off.
Biscuits, pfeh…
Ahh, now I see. The tubes we’ve got laying around the freezer somewhere work by screwing the ends off and pushing the dough out of the tube.
No, it’s not bursting through, the seam of seam of the tube is there, it’s just poping open as it should.
So not like what’s going on here where it bursts through the side of the tube?
It just puffs out and makes a pop sound, it’s rare that there is a mess.
Okay, I think I’ve seen that(My mom’s american-born) but not the exploding part, sounds messy.
The pressure of the dough pushing on the can(it’s really a cardboard tube with aluminum ends) when the seal is broken makes it pop open.
That explains why I’ve never seen it, I’m british. But why does the can explode?
in the states, biscuits come in airtight cans like that as uncooked dough
