Hmmm… Now I kinda regret not getting the original version when it was on sale extra cheap on the Eshop.
parodies falls under fair use.
The more I look into the original version of assimilation the more werid Changes I find.
Even stuff from the nerd movie got replaced like General Dark Onward and death mwauthzyx
Maybe they were afraid of legal issues with Hasbro, though alot of stuff has gotten away with MLP parodies many times before.
And yeah, Gilbert Gottried was great as Fred Fuchs. (Admittedly, that name still amuses me. I can’t believe it was a real name in a game’s ending credits.)
I did say what it was replaced by.
It’s supposed to be a reference to the mandela effect With them even saying that they always been there in this remastered universe But that might be taking it a bit too far. Maybe using the fred fuchs redesign would have been better(yes Gilbert Gottfried)
Really? Why? What was it replaced by?
Y’know, I kinda hate it when “Remasters/Remakes/Deluxe Edition” games get rid of content…
People may bitch about “Super Mario 3D All-Stars” being a collection of straight ports of the games, but at least it doesn’t remove anything.
Or at least any major content/characters/bosses.
I’ll take a port over a remake that removes content.
And before anyone brings it up, the “So-long me-Bowser” line wasn’t originally in the Japan-only Rumble Pack version of SM64, because the line was an American-exclusive, and Bowser is known as “Koopa” there.

Why did I waste my money?
It’s now the Berenstain Bears As a reference to the mandela effect

Come to think of it, AVGN is probably one of the first YT series to get an official game.
Oh man, I remember seeing those hilariously cringy unofficial Atari pr0n games, they’re a common source of ridicule on Youtube, and such.
I don’t think most of those independent games are based on youtube shows do you
Actually I do remember there’s a level based on Atari porn I even remember I was about it on miiverse being taken down. Also one of those copying is parody moments in the game is that you can find a power up that does almost nothing and the character saying that it’s useless which would be fine if it was a 1 time thing only but it isn’t
Nintendo’s been having “indie/independent” games on their systems sense WiiWare, so it’s really nothing shocking, or new.
Yeah, though usually he’s not always serious. In fact, IRL he actually likes “Simon’s Quest.” Which honestly isn’t a bad game if you use a walkthrough to figure out it’s more cryptic puzzles. In fact, honestly that aside it’s probably one of the easier Castlevania games.
I didn’t mean because it’s rated m but because it was an independent game based on a YouTube channel.
I’m aware that his videos are not supposed to be taken serious but the actual review parts don’t feel like satire.his reviews feel more like a review show with sketches.

The Eshop has several M-rated games, (Including Metal Gear & a few Resident Evil games for 3DS) so it’s not too surprising. The references do look kinda funny, and I assume they put in things James hates to kinda reference his videos. Though, he’s just a satirical “critic.”
I remember seeing the Majora moon in a screenshot.
I thought it was fine a little hard but it does suffer from thinking copying is the same as parody as some of the things James has complained about in games are in this game.
I am still amazed they manage to put this game on the E-shop
@Da5ch
With Pinkie’s personality maybe.
You still favorited this, though?
I’m playing it on “old school” and got to the final world. I haven’t yelled “ass” so much in years.
*to me.
Fixed.
