Don’t be a jerk, he’s joking. And even if he wasn’t, there’s literally no point in causing a scene.

Dude, they were both referencing a scene from “Putting Your Hoof Down”.

Pinkie: “TOO MANY FLUTTERSHYS TO KEEP TRACK OF! MAKE IT STOPPP!”
Fluttershy: “What’s the matter? Things getting too complicated for your simple little brain, Pinkie Pie?”

GAH! There are too many dogs named Spike! Time to start using more original names! “Adobe” comes to mind…

Why did Spike from MLP get turned into a dog, anyway…?

Well, whoever said that vampire genitalia thing was just spewing bull.

It was from torturing with railroad spies.
Source: I watched like 7 freaking seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in a few weeks. The name William the Bloody and the torturing with railroad spikes was disclosed by Guiles early on. (Guiles also thought that the Bloody name came a reputation for viciousness). A few seasons later, Spike had his own flashback episode about how he became a vampire where it was heavily implied that that he would eventually torture people with railroad spikes, confirming Guiles’s earlier story, but also showing that the William the Bloody name was earned by him being a terrible poet.

@achy
I read it on TVtropes… It said he took his name from liking railroad spikes as sorta of a platonic fetish, but has never been seen talking about them, and suggested that a “spike” is also a word for male vampire genitalia.

I believe it was on a page about people in cartoons and films going by the nickname “Spike”. (there is also similiar pages for people going by “Jack”, “Ryu”, and “Sakura” for anime.)

Uh, Spike is the name he took because he liked to torture his victims with railroad spikes. He was inspired to do this because before he was a vampire he was known as William the Bloody awful poet, and people said they would prefer to be tortured with a railroad spike instead of having to listen to his poetry. Then when he became a vampire, he switched to the physical torturing instead of poetry. Did you even watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
