Considering its Pinkie Pie, I don’t think you can count her as a serious example.
People can tame the gag reflex of the body. Also horses don’t have a gag reflex it’s why they can’t vomit. Although these ponies are more human then pony since in the first season Pinkie threw up the worm muffin. So it’s safe to say Twi has had practice taming her gag reflex.
Not for Twilight, apparently.
