I don’t love every Sonic game, but I’m glad he’s still around, and kicking ‘bot, and collecting rings.  
(Poor poor Megaman & Bomberman…)
 
Don’t forget, he’s getting his own Lego minifigure for “Lego Dimensions” too making him the first video game hero to appear in it. So Sonic is still getting love. He’s also fun in SSB. (I want a Sanik Amiibo, but they all gone!)

What a crazy ride the blue blur’s been in. Hopefully, it’ll be a great time for him next year with Sonic Mania and Project 2017. I don’t want him to end up like Megaman or Bomberman. As a rival of the big, bad Mario himself, he deserves a lot more positivity to his name and his series. I stuck with him since the late Genesis days, and I’ll still stick with him. It’ll take quite a few more bad games (along with some other crazy shit the fandom will do) to keep me from being a fan of his games. :)

Well, love him, or hate him, it’s Sonic’s 25th anniversary now, and personally, I’m glad the blue blur is still running after all these years despite all the ups & downs his series had. Despite all the controversy his series had, despite the hate he gets online, despite ex-fans on DA feeling the need to make DA journals constantly announcing they’re leaving Sonic, despite everything, he’s still going, and has outlasted many other games series.  
He’s got a new satirical TV show, (His fifth TV show) and his official comic series has lasted over 20 years, and still continues.
 
Still, feels they’re not doing much for his anniversary, but the “Sonic Mega Drive” comic they came out with for it (got it in the mail) is pretty good. The art in it looks remenisc of “Sonic CD’s cinematic FMV scenes, or the old OVA movie.

What’s this? A Pony Sonic collab that doesn’t suck!? Preposterous!

You know, “Princess Sonic” doesn’t quite have the same ring…

Honestly, while I don’t mind having some story/cinama-scenes in Sonic games, I honestly don’t mind Sonic games with smaller stories/plots. (Besides having a cinama scene after every level can kinda slow down the game’s pacing sometimes.)
 
Like “Sonic Heroes” I felt, had decent pacing with it’s more simplified story. And “Sonic 3 & Knuckles” was able to have a story, and plot-twist without any dialogue, or it taking to much away from the game itself.

And now we have Sonic Lost World, which, by the looks of it, doesn’t even attempt to tell a deep story. But we’ll see.

Seems, to focus mostly on the post-Dreamcast era of Sonic, but nice one. Though, the “Sonic X” anime is more like a different continuity/canon from the games, like the other Sonic cartoons/comics were.  
(Yeah, I know “Sonic X” adapted some stories from a few games like the Sonic Adventure games, but even those were altered, and alternate versions with Chris, and such. Even the comics adapted some stories from the games to into it’s canon, so it’s nothing new. It’s nice to have alternate versions of stories sometimes, I feel.)
