@ClownDicks
I know you said to drop it, but the EqG CMC seem to have been aged up a bit relative to the normal ones. They’re probably high school freshmen rather than elementary schoolers.
There’s an argument to be made that Spike was growing unusually fast, but his rampage through Ponyville was basically a game of King of the Hoard with no other players.
Except they don’t thats the point. None of the very few things we know about dragons were contradicted by SoME, and nothing since has contradicted what we learned in SoME.
They didn’t contradict his headcanon, they contradicted the rest of canon.
I still have difficulty believing that people thought that bp actually made anything approaching sense.
Seriously, when he started whining about me using headcanon to fill in caps and stated that things that were actually said in show didn’t count because he didn’t want them to, since they contradicted his headcanon, I could barely stop laughing long enough to type a response.
wwhatevver
I found his argument unconvincing.
Adult Spike was still the least violent dragon given any focus, and still understood Rarity just fine. He didn’t end up any less intelligent than the other adults seen.
There is nothing whatsoever pointing towards Spike’s growth being unnatural. Whether or not Spike was growing unusually fast is a valid question, but it hasn’t been addressed in show.
Again, >>288867
Really? Why not? He hasn’t grown much since he was hatched, and he doesn’t have much stuff. That makes sense.
lolno
Yes. He’s also gained possessions since he was hatched.
And his Dragon Code was written on some differently-magicked form of that paper, so his fire breath transported it from and to his own personal hammerspace?
Yeah, I can see that.
That I didn’t actually know. Now that I think about it, he does have an affinity for digging…
The teleportation is part of the scrolls, not Spike.
Purple Dragons are deep earth (deeper then Drow) dwellers who specialize in manipulation and mental domination. They are also avid explorers.
What makes me say Spike is metallic is that good aligned (metallic) dragons get two breath weapons: Spike has standard burn things fire, and teleportation fire.
Spike’s chromatic, so naw.
It’s not that they’re less intelligent, it’s that they’re more lazy. They like to laze around and talking to people takes effort.
So this is what it feels like to be ninja’d…
Unless you’re a DnD dragon, in which case your a certified genius and brilliant spell caster.
Maybe that’s what Spike is destined to grow up into. All the other dragons are like Smaug, while Spike becomes a spell flinging, form shifting metallic dragon.
That’s certainly true. It galls me because I play DnD, and in that game big dragons are Machiavellian super-geniuses who work reality like clay. Alas, that is not the interpretation the MLP writers decided to go with. :(
When you’re that big, and well, a friggin’ dragon, using brains seems like a dumb idea.
The one in Dragonshy can talk, as well as the one in Owl’s Well that ends Well.
Well…
Ponies are colorful so I guess it would only be fair to make humans colorful as well.
