The “fusing with firefly” part is NOT CANON. Generations 1, 3 and 4 aren’t exactly interconcected into a single timeline. Sure, G4 makes reference to previous generations, but that’s it. There’s no exact bridge that connects the timelines. the G4 incarnations are just alternate universe counterparts, not the real thing from past generations.
