I know, I just wanted to quote AVGN for that line the BP said :)
I didn’t think it was that horrible… (Just had a few hard-to-figure-out moments, or vague puzzle clues.) Apparently, the AVGN admitted he actually did like the game too. Some of his reviews are just exaggerated, or for comedy. Same for the Nostalgia Critic.
The game did help develop the “Metroidvania” genre of video games.
