I’m still putting these two as twins in my headcannon. I mean seriously. These two share the same color scheme! What are the chances of that happening if they weren’t related in some way?
In my headcanon, genetics in the pony world are basically magic in a way. Hence why Twilight looks nothing like her parents, Pinkie and her family also looks nothing alike, the Apples all diff. shades of green, red, orange and yellow. Rarely we see families looking alike. Well Pumpkin Cake and her dad have similiar color scheme, so do Rarity and Sweetie Belle to their own father. But that’s it. Background ponies do not count.
That’s also how Pound Cake got the pegasus genetics from his 4th cousin once removed (“Cup’s greataunt’s 2nd cousin twice removed is a pegasus”) which it’snt technically possible unless the cousin and Pound shared a pegasus ancestor!
They don’t have the same color scheme anyway, just eye color and coat color, so…
 
So they’re not sisters they just have a similiar colorscheme!

Was going to comment upon “Location: Ponyville” but it seems as though Hurricane Fluttershy confirmed that the pegasi who helped out in the tornado were ALL from Ponyville, though I reckon many of them are FROM Cloudsdale originally.
