Oh wow I remember that cartoon differently as a kid. Thank goodness that would have been actually sad. Part of me feels a little bad for laughing at Johnny’s disownment from his own “mother” as I thought. Not that there’s anything wrong with him being a fictional character but still.

Funny thing about falling in love is people find themselves with completely different traits and values afterwards as an attempt to improve for the other person.
Part of Sprout growing up involves freeing himself from needing his mother’s affirmation. That’s not different from what Diamond Tiara did.

Maybe its the future. Look at Sprout’s chin. That’s an older Sprout. He’s likely reformed. Besides, I can’t see them keeping him fearful of the other tribes in the series. That’s like beating a dead horse. I also can’t see him disappearing in the series because I can’t see Phyllis and Canterlogic just magically disappearing either. He will get reformed in the series.
Edit: I did notice Sprout was oddly colored like Big Mac and I also noticed Izzy is this curly maned unicorn. But now that I see them together like this its kind of funny.

No, just no. This is a terrible ship (well, not the Big Mac-Sugar Belle ship (which isn’t really a ship, since it is canon) but the Sprout/Izzy ship). Why is this a thing? Sprout is a xenophobic pony who tried to start an uprising just to keep out other pony species, not having a care who he hurts in the process! Izzy is an adorable unicorn who is loved by the fandom but also who Sprout seems to hate with a passion. Why would anyone ship the two?
