As said, my statement comes from my experiences. We’re all shaped by that which we have personally dealt with and been exposed to.

While I normally want to stay put of this tire fire, actually, I’ve seen plenty of anonymous/background pony posts get deleted for trolling, spamming, or causing trouble. Also, posting under said status doesn’t exempt them from the rules, and the admins can STILL tell who registered users whom post anonymously are, and can keep track of logged-out, or unregistered users’ posts, as well even when their hash number changes in other images or forum posts.
Also, the notion that anonymous people’s opinions matter less, or aren’t worth talking is very unfair, judgemental, and stuck-up.
I’ve seen some actually have more mature & well written statements then many registered users.

You kidding? This is the civil, polite discussion we all strive to have. This is the simple enjoyment of this community where we can get heated over things, but then it’s passed and over with.
Heck, this chat is the most pleasant part of my day so far.
Yeah, fair. Ignoring some BGPs is a must, but seems weird to have a policy to automatically avoid responding to all of them. Though, a real “throwaway account” can post non-anonymously as well.
Anyway this is way off-topic, my bad.
It’s because of the simplicity of being, well, a throwaway account.
My negative marks are all from interacting with BPs who antagonize and troll and got away with it, but I with my full account got punished for replying to them.
It’s like someone throwing a pie at your face, and no one does anything about it, so you throw some pie back, but then you get in trouble because “you were escalating it”.
Hey now I’ve been on the site for six years and I’ve never made an account, sometimes people aren’t trying to “hide” they just don’t feel the need, and if you always ignore every single background pony well that’s your choice but it seems like a weird distinction - “this guy went and put in an email and password, so his opinion is valuable, while this guy didn’t so I’m not even going to respond”

I normally don’t reply to background ponies because you cowards hide behind a shield and say whatever you like and get away with it, but I’ll make an exception this one time.
Namely, I noticed that you explicitly ignored the topic and what I had to say later, namely that the argument is about censorship. But lets go over the points you want to argue.
You’re ignoring that this is fact. That this is commonplace, that you are guilty by association. If you’re a “brony”, well obviously you want to hurry out to a ranch, paint a horse in pastels and have your way with them. Or maybe you’re a “creepy manchild who watches a children’s cartoon”. That’s obviously an incorrect blanket statement, but it doesn’t stop a rather loud portion of people of insisting that’s the case.
Or maybe they did try to kick out the bad ideas, but were overruled by the corruption already in place that they didn’t see until it was too late. Remember how this community was about laughing and enjoying all things with ponies in them? When did it start being about censorship? About disallowing people to make parody art? That’s an awfully controlling mindset to dictate what someone can or can’t art.
Funny how they aren’t kicked out until they are exposed. It’s almost like EVO had that message already set up for the exact minute that his deviance was made public and knew what was actually going on…

Aryanne is a terrible OC that was created by /pol/ for the soul purpose of being a fascist icon. That much is true, regardless of how much some 4channers want to try and convince everyone that she’s actually a well-thought out modern art piece that makes us confront our social fears (or whatever have you.) For sure, I will not shed any tears if Aryanne is banned.
Questionable anecdotes, however, really don’t do anything to further the discussion.
I actually think it would be hilarious if Aryanne was banned, except for the “Aryanne getting striped” tag.
I mean there’s the line that gets made self-evident when someone does violent things in contravention to the actual message of a movement, but sure, let’s pretend that “waving the same flag” automatically makes it impossible to tell, because pieces of cloth are invisibility cloaks for self-evident individual behavior apparently.
You know what those “good” (lol) Nazis didn’t do that screwed them? They didn’t kick out the bad ideas.
The Nazi party became what it was because the people who wanted it to be something else failed to take control of removing the policies and the people they knew were wrong and harmful.
Your very example of “Nazis who didn’t want terror and killing” speaks to the exact importance of disavowing and rejecting the things trying to turn the core message of your community/movement into something you don’t want.
Have you noticed how those predators are getting deservedly dragged by their communities when they get exposed?
Man it’s almost like those communities are practicing what they preach about not tolerating the presence of people who turn out to be toxic problems.

Oh my God you’re either woefully misinformed or one of them. I’m not talking to you any more. If Charlottesville didn’t prove it to you, then there’s no saving you.
What “real” nazis are you talking about? The ones from 1939 are dead and gone and they won’t come back. People fighting tooth and nail to build up groups and cults can’t do it, Pony art featuring swastikas sure as heck won’t bring it back.
But the main argument here is censorship. Once one thing gets censored and silenced, it’s very easy to move on to something else. Sure, today you’d be happy for this one thing to be censored. But what if we have to remove all zebra art because someone says “it’s an allegory for the plight of african people”? Will you happily roll over then?
What about removing explicit art that features the characters in their show-accurate selves, since someone might claim it “promotes bestiality”?
At which point does it click that any censorship leads to more censorship in order to keep everyone under a very specific thumb? Almost like a… dictatorship.
Did I say it was irredeemable? No. Do I think that nazis are trying to take over the fandom and then it’ll be ruined? Yes. We still have time to fix this, but this constant bickering is getting us nowhere. Appeasement didn’t work in 1939, and it won’t work now. The only way to stop nazis is to push back against them. Did we learn nothing from WW2?
