@Enmity1498
How is me saying the furry Fandom did something good offensive to furries? Or are you saying the excommunication of the Furry Raiders, Burned Furs, and the like was a bad thing? Because if you are, then there’s no helping you. Please tell me I’m misinterpreting.
@Skoon
Ah, but there is no line separating the violent protesters from the peaceful ones as they all wave the same flag.
What about the nazis who didn’t want any part of what hitler was selling, but had no choice because germany was in such a poor state after WW1? What about the ones who wanted no part of the terror tactics and the killing? Well you don’t hear about those much, do you? Yet they still existed and the flag they were flying is the one we’re having this discussion over and they were blamed for the atrocities just as much as the ones who actually were doing them.
As for pride, have you been watching how many pride pushers and supporters are getting outed as sexual predators and groomers? How about the most recent EVO event being canned because of one such person?
Regardless, I know where I stand on this issue. The question is what the higher ups end up deciding.
@Daneasaur
Well for one, you’re wrong about BLM being a terrorist organization. The true BLM members are peaceful protestors, violent people use the logo as a shield.
This is another topic altogether.
Two, sexual pride is not hate speech or representative of hateful organizations.
Your conflation of these things to Nazis is genuinely offensive, careless, and tone-deaf.
@Skoon
On those grounds, we should also ban all pride and BLM images. Those are “world ideologies”, and BLM is currently a domestic terror organization. So we can allow that here and even promote it, a group that has beaten, killed, destroyed, and ruined many many lives? If not, then that also must be banned.
@Daneasaur
That doesn’t stop it from reflecting on the entire platform. Filters are the answer for fetishes or characters you don’t like, not world ideologies.
@Daneasaur
Tell that one to all the disenfranchised people looking for anything to give them purpose. Do I really need to go over this again? It’s why the MLPol incident was so detrimental. This Fandom needs moderation, not this free-for-all. Look at the furry Fandom. They kick out nazis, and their all the more inviting for it.
@Skoon
I personally say that any variation of it should be allowed to be posted, even the stuff “promoting” it, because it’ll obviously be downvoted or just have the comments locked if it’s stupid.
I say this because some people are using MLP to push topics that are just as offensive and “socially damaging”, but what do I do? I blacklist it. It’s an easy thing to do.
@Naughtypony2010
Lack of education, but probably the most important thing is lack of friends and depression. Nazies work like a sect. They give simple solution for “hard” question. And they were (I don’t know about present) masters of propaganda. I don’t want judge people without context.
Everyone deserves empathy, that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t face justice, those are not exclusive of each other but if we dehumanize the people that wrong us then we are not better than them.
@DTavs.exe
Then i wonder just what justifies it to empathize those who choose to mass kill and choose to be aggressive against certain people. No really.
@MrXemnas1992
Everyone deserves empathy. My grandma was sent to labor camp in 1939 (I’m from Poland). She told me once a story. During the trip, one Nazi soldier kicked the child, laughing in the mother’s face. When he left, another came I gave this woman blanket and some beard.
If someone promote nazi, maybe he just don’t know everything about it. Fandom is spread over the world, we have different culture. Ponies are made for empathy, not aggression.
@Skoon
Associated with the Nazi Swastika? Of course I don’t want.
Defend a Nazi pony? It depends what I know about it. Everyone and everypony can change.
And I understand why some people talks about freedom of speech some much. Youtube bans many films only because algorithm says that. But in this case I don’t see many empathy in them (and the censorship side too). The problem is I don’t see many empathy in the world and that makes me sad.
@Skoon
Thanks, I try to follow this whole drama, but life was calling (and my english sucks).
I have problem with censorship. New CoD and BF changed history (like banning swastika) and I think it’s bad.
I look for some pictures with tag “nazi” and I think most of them are pointless. Not bad or not good.
Some of them are very “special” (1633386). In ideal world I probably go for full anti-censorship. But our world isn’t ideal. And after all of this I think we should definitely ban new content with nazi. Old one maybe after some time, if someone want to download it. We should rescue our fandom and that’s almost impossible because nobody want to discuss, they only fight. That’s very scary thing in democracy.
