Like I said, its not enough.
Discord freeing the others is a start but its not enough to make it up.
Doesn’t help he allowed his “pawns” to get screwed over despite its his fault they ended up worse.
He needs to address ALL of the damages his plan had done. Including the moral issue of using other beings as disposable pawns.

In life whats done is done u cant change the past u can only be better for the future, only when discord took hold of his future instead of how he meant to help his friends, realizing that despite his good intentions he still messed up heavily and took action, was he forgiven.

Problem is, its not enough.  
What he did is prevent the problem from getting even WORSE.  
Its a start but that alone isn’t enough to make up for what he had caused.  
Such as the damages his plan had done is still there.

I mean putting yur life in danger to deflect a beam that could have killed u to free your friends so they can escape and save your country is objectively pretty epic and shows that the individual really does wanna make it up to u, no matter how badly they messed up and considering the messup came from having their heart in the right place of trying to support u anyways.

Well, the make up he did saved Equestria, so I would indeed call it an epic make up

I would only fully forgive Discord if he addressed the other damage he caused.  
Such as damaging the Royal Sisters reputation with how they ended up falling flat on their faces on their very last days as rulers. Like regardless of if his plan went haywire or not, it would make Luna and Celestia look bad in the end.
 
And the fact he most likely damaged Cadance and Shining Armor’s reputations with the Sombra mess.  
And most likely caused Flurry Heart to get traumatized by Sombra there.
 
Pretty much it ultimately he’s responsible for this bitterness I have on how Luna and Celestia were handled in the finale but also the bitterness I felt on what happened to Spike in the premiere since it was Discord’s fault too.  
And Chrysalis’s fate as well caused by his blasted plan. All of this is huge parts on why his plan made me so mad at him. I still like him but I am just so mad at him for this…
 
And pretty sure this plan ended up damaging everyone’s trust in him. You can’t tell me they won’t go “How do I know he won’t pull something like this behind our backs again?” after this.

As awful as the finale was I still forgive him, even if others in this comment section don’t.

Evidently it was, but then, you’re not one of the characters experiencing his bullshit in-universe, so your opinion and umbrage-taking by proxy is entirely irrelevant to them.

Coupled with the fact that he also stoned the villain trio before letting others possibly punish them in a way that will eventually help them reform but also pay for their crimes? No. No it doesn’t.
