It’s as Dan once said, “It’s a good reminder that life is fleeting and eventually all things die. It’s important to live in the moment.” Dan and Pinkie’s love/friendship was going to last forever, but they made the most out of the time they had. Dan was a bitter man when they first met, but gradually learned to love Chris, Elise, and especially Pinkie after she began to show him unconditional love and made him realize the unconditional love he had already been experiencing from his two best–more likely only–friends.
