you don’t understand how others do, do not misunderstand me just because i am mexican, a novel is narrative and the movies are made by a director, I read Harry Potter novels, Lord of the rings, total recall etc; which are very different than in the movies. The writers and the directors do everything they want in the movies and they are based on the novels but different since it does not have to be the same.

DHX/Hasbro has a tendency to release some of their stuff earlier than they’re supposed date. So, the book contained major spoilers about this upcoming special, unless they change some things in it.

More like the latter because that’s basically EqG’s villains’ shtick at this point because the writers couldn’t afford themselves to write something better with their villains, instead they just opt the lazy route of rinse and repeat.
 
If you want to know what the villains’ goal in this special are; read the book The Star-Swirl Do Over (which honestly has a better title than Backstage Pass), a book DHX/Hasbro released way long before this special is going to be aired and (probably) was written around the time they are developing season 9 and such.

How do we know this is Kiwi Lollipop and not the other member?

alright so either they’re the villains aiming to finish what the Dazzlings started (a.k.a. EqG Equestrian magic-seeking villain #6/7/whatever) or they’re just genuine people trying to have a good time until oops here comes the magic or one of them is the baddie while the other is unaware that the other’s the baddie until the motives are revealed (a.k.a. Gloriosa #2)
