I love the dynamic these two share - they really do feel like siblings in the same way that Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo feel like siblings.

Yeah, remember Uprooted, where she beats that one teenage dragon at arm wrestling, and then carves a statue of the Tree of Harmony out of a rock using nothing but her fists, feet, claws, and fire breath. Not to mention how she seems to be effortlessly carrying it by herself, yet it (apparently) would’ve been enough to squish Sandbar had Yona not gotten him out of the way.
 
Though Tbf, in this shot, I think Spike might be hovering with his wings.

Smolder’s gotta be pretty strong to comfortably support Spike hanging from her like that. Come to think of it, that fits how the show generally depicts dragons.

I don’t watch none of them shows and Spike and Smolder don’t act like they have romantic feelings for each other in the show. Like you said in the previous comment, Smolder acts like a cool sis to Spike.

Also have you seen Star Trek like “Next Generation”,“Deep Space Nine” and “Voyager. Riker, Bashir,odo and the doctor had crushes on Donna Troi,Dax,Major Kira and Seven of Nine.When a new female charater pops up they take a liking to,say that I am right?They become friends and they go back crushing on they first crush in the future they hook up.It the same with sparity when Spike meet a new girl after that he go back to Rarity.Do you agree?

I have to agree with “TheAmazingPeanuts”here even “TV Tropes Characters”say that Smolder is a cool big sis to Spike.Spike and Rarity had alot of moments thoughout the series and there be a episode about sparity in the second half of the final season since they ending subplots.

I seeing this scene with non shipping goggles, Spike and Smolder are only friends and nothing else. You can pretend they have something going on between these two but in reality they don’t, all you saying is based on headcanon. I ship Spike and Smolder too (kinda prefer EmberSpike to be honest) but I don’t take shipping all that seriously.

Wow, you’re really trying get this ship become canon are you (despite the show only show Spike and Smolder have a brother and sister relationship). I see shippers saying this about Starlight and Ember too and nothing happened between Spike and these characters.
 
Like I said before, ship what you want but it’s not gonna become canon and you just getting your hopes up.

When I ship these two, it’s not just based off of one scene like this. I base it off of what I see in their interactions. We can see that their relationship has grown a lot, and seems to still be growing. Right now, they’re friends, that’s obvious. I just have a feeling that they’re gonna get together before the end of the series.

It’s a shame. I thought this would be the key to finally ending the Rarity crush, but I guess they’ll have to end it some other way. Naturally I guess.

These two are so adorable together.

In context of this scene, this was Smolder being big older sis to Spike , ala RD and Scoots relationship.

What if their relationship is building? Like, they’re not to loving yet, but are slowly growing as a couple? Compare when they first met to now, and it’s obvious that with each interaction their relationship grows
