Except that if the creators actually only did plot points to spite people, it would be bad writing. I hate Starlight while appreciating they are trying to be good with her character. If they threw it all away to spit on one subset of their fandom that would be incredibly petty and show immaturity. So no, don’t hope for something like that. If either of those things come about, it should be from the result of the writers actually trying to make a good story.
