It’s been five years since his last appearance where he just sat on a chair for a couple of seconds …. if they wanted to use him they would have done so years ago,
Let em think what they want. If you think it’s smart to not count debatable canon, then revel in intelligence.
Otherwise, you’ll only end up wasting your time with people who are firm on their beliefs, arguing, putting off the wrong kind of vibe in your action and then feeling dumb when you realize it wasn’t worth it.

I’m just saying since they’re debatable canon, we shouldn’t necessarily count them in circumstances like this

If it’s official Hasbro product, than it can and will be taken as Canon by whoever perceives it to be Canon.
That’s just how it is.
They’re published by IDW i think, but they are still official Hasbro products.

Unless Blueblood shows up in S9 and is portrayed as a terrible diplomat, or something (I don’t think they’re doing that), may as well take a cue from the comics in terms of characterization.

Trixie’s still a changed mare
The comics don’t count
The problem is that both of Their Characters completely changed from their early season selfs and even the Fanon that the fandom had for them
It made sense back in Season 1-4, but now it doesn’t, Trixie’s Recent character arc with Starlight and Blueblood’s characterization in The comics changed things to much
This one actually works in a weird sort of way. We have two raving narcissists finding they have something in common: their self-proclaimed superiority over everyone else. They could get along just fine. Of course, they’d be utterly insufferable together, even worse than when taken separately.
