Good point. But Party Favor isn’t an Earth Pony though (he’s a unicorn) so perhaps those “party pony” traits aren’t something exclusive to Earth Ponies but is something all ponies can potentially have.
Earth ponies tend to have more ingenuity, insight, creativity, and / or stronger, straightforward strengths. This can manifest as silly randomness or the casually unexplainable.
Nah, it’s okay. It’s your OC and you should be free to do whatever you want with her. I like that concept being applied to her too. No need to apologize.

I always felt that Pinkie Pie’s “randomness magic” was somewhat unique to her. Other Earth Ponies seem to be gifted in other things like physical strength, being in touch with nature (e.g. being able to grow plants really fast), and having strong prehensile tails.
