Description
I hadn’t gotten the chance to watch The Walking Dead, but I recently became acquainted with this scene from it and I was really touched by it. The background for the scene was gut-wrenching, unwanted, creepy, and drenched in grimdark. It was a beautiful vision of the ugly side of the world.

It’s referencing a scene from The Walking Dead where a character was forced to kill a mentally disturbed girl.
Of Mice and Men was the farm with rabbits, wasn’t it? “Just look out in that field and imagine you can see it.” or something like that.

I think she was naive older kid Lizzie who was causing a lot of problems due to delusions about the Walkers (probably because she watched her father succumb), including killing her sister without any remorse. The girl wasn’t even infected.
I mean in THe Walking Dead.
Unless it was in the comic books, which is unlikely because I’ve read all three compendiums.
Flutterbat, the day after and they learn that there is no cure.
