Description
This is an illustration of a part of the fictional world I’m building right now.
The Praying Maiden is a product of Forge Furies and Nandeck with Trinity Co. as a sponsor to create a being that’s able to serve both servant and combat purpose, primarily servitude. Another successful amalgamate between flesh and machine from Chief Designer Elysia. The organs inside a Maiden’s head and body are all vat grown, whilst the skin is made out of poly-synth. Their brains are carefully programmed with the necessary knowledge for the task and to stay most loyal to their master till death. The Maiden’s limbs are mainly composed of machinery and artificial muscles, the extra two arms are for multi-purpose and to make them more “formal”, said Elysia. The praying hand is not a religious body language in the world of UNERU, it’s a sign of formality and respect. The visor on their head is also mainly aethestic.
There’s not really much secrets in the making of a Praying Maiden. After the assembly and skin wraping, the new units will be printed a bar code on their chest and shipped off to destination. They’re expensive to mostly they’re for the royalties, though sometimes one can see a Maiden serving for a ridiculously wealthy family as well, you can expect at least more than a dozen in the Emperor’s Palace. The Praying Maiden’s role is quite important in the royals, they serve as house keepers and the last line of defence of the Emperor when things go wrong and the Dispatcher units failed to neutralize the threat. The Maidens are not too be underestimate in combat, aside from good sword skill, they can use their two lower arms for a variety of suprises. They’re also a lot more enduring than they look. In theory, if you cut off a Maiden’s head, it’s body is backed by an auto A.I and will still keep on fighting, though not as precise as before. If a maiden fulfill it’s quota by the end of a week, it will rewarded with a mild stimulant, to encourage to do well. Failing to do the job well will results in discipline actions. Units that show signs of disobedience will be sent back to the factory for dissection and recycle, same goes for those that unable to fulfill their quotas for more than 4 weeks.
Trying to have a date with a Maiden is possible but you’d be better off doing it with other intelligent beings, also you have to ask for the servant manager first.
Art and character by me :3

When making these designs, I try to make it look somewhat like ponies but unrelated to MLP as much as possible. Pony related, but not MLP.
