Great art btw, Classic Consoles > Current Consoles all the way.
I remember a “Link to the Past” hack that had you play as Derpy. lol
I really wish someone would do a Pony sprite hack of Sailor Moon Fuwa Fuwa Panic 1 and 2 with Pinkie, Pokey, Surprise, Party Favor and Sweetie Belle.
I know the first one has an English patch. Not sure about the second.

Actually, if you look in old game manuals, they say not to make unofficial back-up, or archival copies of the game.
As I said, it’s basically a grey area.
Not to mention, I’ll admit sadly unofficial emulation is the only way to play retro some games.
Remember the SNES game “Uniracers” that Nintendo hyped for a few months in the ‘90s, and then it suddenly disappeared from store shelves? Ever wondered why it never came to Virtual Console, despite Nintendo publishing the game?
Well, thanks to Pixar (yes, “Toy Story” Pixar) suing the developer DMA & Nintendo (because back then Pixar made an old 3D animated short featuing a unicycle, and apparently believed any 3D-rendered generic unicycle design was an infringing on their’s) that game is unlikely to ever get a rerelease, or remake, so illegal download, or tracking down a rare SNES cartridge in a garage sale, or used game store is the only way to play it.
“ROMs are technically illegal”
Not if you legally own the cartridge and dump the rom yourself for personal use.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrode
It probably runs afoul of the anti-circumvention part of the DMCA, but nobody enforces that. At least not for personal use.
They might reprint ‘em later like with the NES Classic.
You can also get SNES games on newer Nintendo systems too actually. (But not the Switch… Yet.)
As for unofficial online emulators & such, it’s kinda a moral slippery slope, as that’s kinda like piracy. and copyright infringement, but it has kinda helped preserve some rare retro games that are unlikely to get rereleased on modern consoles. (Especially, licensed games.) So it’s kinda a grey area. So I’m not ganna tell you if you should or shouldn’t.

@Dirty Bit
Highly doubt I can find any these days.
It would be practically impossible to take down all emulators and ROMs, especially since the downloaded ones can just re-upload it.
That’s good to hear. I was constantly under the impression (due to old articles…) that emulators and ROMs were taken down entirely, with the smallest of exceptions.
Glad to be proven wrong.
May still exist? zsnes and snes9x (and VBA-M) and their forks are still widely available.
Emulators aren’t illegal (in fact these “mini” consoles liberally borrow from emulator projects that have been under the GPLs for years).
ROMs are technically illegal, and Nintendo does periodically go on C&D rampages if a hosting site becomes too popular, but there are exceptions. They haven’t tried too hard to crack down on Mother 3 fan translations and the like.
They must be at the Opera House
@DragonBliss99
@Beau Skunky
If that fails, scour the darker reaches of the internet for any SNES emulators that may still exist

Get a SuperNES Classic Edition, if you can find one still. It’s got alot of good games on it.
AB: “So then, how come this one says Filly Fantasy III?”
AJ: “Well, the ones they originally called Filly Fantasy II, III and V never came out here in Equestria. So they just called the fourth one II and the sixth one III.”
AB: “That’s just silly. Why’d they go through with all that confusin’ stuff?”
AJ: “Beats the heck outta me, sugarcube. Uh oh, here comes Ultros again!”

Yeah, I think the one in the Basic Fun mini arcade is the same version they out online & on phones to promote the movie.
You used to be able to play Wreck it Ralph on the iPhone but unfortunately this ended when they got rid of support for 32 bit apps and Disney never upgraded the app to 64 bit.
Disney also made an arcade cabinet which they added to DisneyQuest. Unfortunately the place is no longer around. They closed and demolished it two years ago. I think the cabinets were moved to other locations in Disney World though.
It’s surprising how far they went to make it accurate. It even has a kill screen
I admit, I have a fondness for retro games. (Including ones that came out before I was even born like Pac-Man.)
I even bought an officially-licenced miniture toy arcade cabinet of “Frogger” recently from Walmart. (That really works.) They oddly also had “Wreck-it Ralph.” (Yes, they officially defictionalized it.)
But only Pinkie knows that kind of magic.
